Akonadi Foundation is committed to strengthening Oakland’s movement ecosystem by fostering deeper collaboration, alignment, and a shared long-term agenda among grassroots organizations, coalitions, and power-building groups.
We invest in movement infrastructure that unites organizations around a long-term vision for change and aggregates power across organizations and communities. By deepening trust, building capacities, expanding coalitions, and strengthening shared strategies, Akonadi aims to:
Build stronger alliances and coalitions that sustain across multiple campaigns
Support alignment around a common agenda for long-term power building and transformative systems change
Expand the movement by bringing in new partners to build a strong working class multiracial constituency
