Californians for Justice Education Fund (CFJ)

Californians for Justice: $100,000 a year for three years.

Californians for Justice (CFJ) is a statewide grassroots organization working for racial justice by building the power of youth, communities of color, immigrants, low-income families, and LGBTQ communities. Over the last year, CFJ’s Student Voice campaign organized for students, especially low-income students of color, to weigh in on the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) and the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) decisions. In the coming year, CFJ is organizing for implementation of the Student Advisory Committee with representation of low-income youth of color, immigrant, and foster care youth with a process of nomination of students in the district and for OUSD to conduct a survey involving at least 60% of students at any school site to get student input into LCAP priorities.
