Leticia's social justice activism started with the founding of PODER (People Organizing to Demand Environmental Rights) in San Francisco's Mission District where she organized immigrant women and their children. Following her community organizing activity, she represented community organizations throughout California in civil and administrative courts demanding environmental rights and justice.  Most recently, she worked for eight years supporting youth organizing and economic and social justice work as a Senior Program Officer at the Tides and the Hill-Snowdon Foundations.

Leticia is the proud mother of two remarkable sons – Nicolas and Lucas.
